Woke watch
There is a very good section on GB news where the ludicrous idiocies of Wokeness are looked at

I thought we would should have one for WHO. I'll start with Baptiste on BBC: In Hungary,an ambassador's family are kidnapped by Islamic terrorists and carry out atrocities. At the end of the last episode Baptiste finds out that it is a false flag operation and conveniently, the real culprits are white supremacists who want to stop all immigration.

Coronation Street ITV a gay black footballer is stopped by the police, because he is driving an expensive car. He is pushed to the ground during an altercation, and damages his leg threatening his career. Could have been written by Dawn Butler or a BLM activist.

This could challenge the Brexit thread for repetitiveness - but in about a quarter of a million fewer posts.

Howzat! For progress??!!

Re: Woke watch
Looks more like it was Baptiste and Coronation Street that triggered the usual suspects.

If this thread stops all this sort of nonsense cropping up onto numerous other threads like it does at the moment, then by all means crack on with it.

Re: Woke watch
You're right. If enough people scoff at it and say it's boring it won't have happened at all...

The biggest issue with this site is not the arguments but the pricks that post up threads like these - to stir the shit between posters

Re: Woke watch
I appreciate the posts that complaining about the repetitiveness of these arguments, they don't progress the argument much.

Everything is being turned into propaganda for the woke, including football which is the reason it's cropping up so much here. Boring it may be, but if you think ignoring it means it will go away and won't encroach on your day to day life, I think you need to think again.

The Anti Woke brigade will see this as us on the slippery slope to or have already descended into Hell.

The woke brigade will see this as a small but worthy step to better understanding.

The rest of us will wonder what the number of woke stories lines is as a percentage of overall storylines which might help us lean towards a way of thinking at that given time.

Re: Woke watch
I was reading an article about the penalty takers this week, it seems there is suspicion that they were actually chosen by ROC Nation, it went on to detail the relationship between ROC, Nike and several of these players, the England Team (FA) as well as similarly minded sports people in the states.

Nike spend something like 3bn on what I thin they call emotional branding, and it is paying off in spades (excuse the metaphor)

hahah no chance. Southgate isn't a great manager. It's that simple.

More importantly, why the fuck is any sane grown adult watching Coronation Street and Baptiste anyway?

Re: Woke watch
Would be quite good to see Baptiste appear in a Coronation Street episode. The comedic value might be enough to make it worth watching. Wonder what he would investigate? Last time I watched it, Albert Tatlock and one of my heroes Stan Ogden was in it.
